The St. Augustine Orchestra is pleased to announce the winner of this year's Young Artist Competition, Sarah Park!
Sarah Park, a junior at Bolles School, holds the position of regional director for the Back to Bach Project Jacksonville, FL Chapter. Her musical journey includes serving as the concertmaster for the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra Philharmonic in 2021 and 2022, and she currently serves as the rotating concertmaster.
Sarah made her debut at Carnegie Hall at the age of 10, winning an international music competition. Additionally, she showcased her talent as a soloist with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, winning the Young Artist Competition in 2022. In the fall of 2022, she was an invited soloist in the Romantic series with the Saint Augustine Orchestra.
Beyond her musical achievements, Sarah is an active scientist. She recently won the 2023 Congressional App Challenge from FL 05, a nationwide competition. Her winning entry creatively connects the healing power of music with scientific principles.
